Yemeni army makes new advances in Marib

MARIB, Feb. 7 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces have taken control of a number of coalition military positions on the northwest front of Marib, local sources said on Sunday,

According to the sources, that army and popular committees have made rapid military advances on the fronts of Al-Makhadara and Sirwah, after taking control of a number of coalition positions.

The sources explained that the fierce clashes, which left heavy losses among the coalition militants, amid urgent calls from Marib hospitals to donate blood.

On the other hand, the chief of staff of the Hadi Defense Ministry, Saghir bin Aziz, ousted a number of military leaders of Islah on charges of communicating with Sanaa forces, and replacing them with leaders loyal to the UAE.

According to the sources, Islah militants looted a large quantity of weapons from the coalition’s stores  that have been recently established in recent months inside residential neighborhoods in Marib city, and moved them towards Shabwah province.
