Social Affairs Minister meets UNFPA Representative in Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 06 (YPA) – Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Obaid Salem bin Dabhie, met on Saturday in Sanaa, Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Nestor Owomuhangi.

The meeting dealt with aspects of cooperation and partnership between the Ministry and the Fund and the activities and programs currently implemented in the field through reproductive health centers, as well as safe spaces for women, from which about 1.5 million women have benefited, in addition to empowering about 6,000 families.

The two sides also touched on the possibility of expanding the partnership with the Ministry in the aspects of protecting women through expanding the various projects implemented by the Fund.
