Parliament Speaker congratulates Sri Lankan counterpart on National Day

SANAA, Feb. 04 (YPA) – The Parliament Speaker, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i sent on Thursday a congratulatory cable to Speaker of the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, on the occasion of his country’s national day.

The Independence Day in Sri Lanka is celebrated annually on the 4th February. Sri Lanka gained Independence from the British on February 4, 1948.
