1,418 died, 9,412 injured due to traffic accidents in 2020

SANAA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – At least 1,418 people died and 9,412 others were injured in traffic accidents that occurred in 15 Yemeni provinces during the year 2020, the General Traffic Department has revealed in a statistic it issued recently.

The material losses as a result of those accidents were estimated at 2,367,116,000 riyals, according to the statistic.

The Traffic Department indicated that speed was the main cause of these accidents.
