ADEN, Jan. 26 (YPA) – Two prominent leaders loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), survived assassination attempts in the latest bombings in Aden province during the past few hours, Pro-STC sources reported on Tuesday.
It comes amid unprecedented security chaos in the city, which seen Saudi arrangements as part of the implementation of the Riyadh accord.
The sources said that unknown assailants targeted the adviser of the STC military chief, Mohsen Askar, by detonating an explosive device in the way of his convoy “without knowing the casualties.”
Earlier, a bomb attack on the head of the security belt, Jalal al-Rubaie, was exploded in the city as his vehicle was passing through the Enma city.
In the past few hours, Aden has witnessed three violent bombings that rocked Sheikh Othman, Mansoura and the city of Enma.
