Sanaa rejects American designation of Yemeni people
SANAA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – The squares of Bab Al-Yaman in the capital Sanaa on Monday afternoon were filled with hundreds of thousands of protesters denouncing and rejecting the American terrorism against the Yemeni people.
The participants chanted slogans rejecting American terrorism, such as “You made terrorism,” “You sponsor terrorism everywhere” and “America is the mother of terrorism.”
During the mass rally titled “The American siege and aggression are terrorist crimes”, a number of religious and political personalities delivered speeches that expressed in their entirety the rejection of the American designation of the Yemeni people on the terrorist lists.
The protesters confirmed, in a statement issued at the rally, that the brutal aggression and the unjust siege on the Yemeni people is primarily American, since the aggression was announced in Washington on March 26, 2015.
The statement indicated that America is committing genocide against the Yemeni people and killing children and women in markets, weddings and mourning halls with American bombs and weapons, and it is the one who provides support and political cover for this aggression.
“This ridiculous designation issued by the Trump administration that has gone with its ugliness and crimes will not prevent the Yemeni people from continuing their sacred national battle and their jihadist duty to defeat the aggression coalition and its mercenaries,” the statement stressed.
The real terrorism is the military, logistical and political support that America is providing to the aggression countries coalition and the tightening of the economic blockade on the Yemeni people, the statement added.
The statement affirmed that the era of foreign colonial tutelage over Yemen has passed, praising the great sacrifices of the heroes of the army and the popular committees in the face of aggression and siege.
