SANAA, Jan. 24 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister, Hussein Al-Ezzi, met on Sunday with the Resident Representative of the World Food Program (WFP) in Sanaa, Laurent Bukera.
At the meeting, the officials reviewed the humanitarian activities being carried out by the WFP in Yemen, and discussed doubling the support and necessary coordination to facilitate its humanitarian projects to implement.
Al-Ezzi affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to support the efforts of humanitarian offices and programs to achieve its humanitarian goals in accordance with the principles of transparency and adherence to the standards of humanitarian work.
Meanwhile, the WFP’s official indicated that the program would exert more efforts to provide humanitarian services to Yemenis in need.
Bukera stressed the importance of the cooperation and coordination with the national authorities in order to contribution to alleviating the suffering of Yemenis.
