Citizens find mummy in Ibb province
IBB, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Citizens in Ibb province, in central of Yemen, found on Friday a mummified mummy, which shows important aspects of the ancient Yemeni civilization that stand out as a competition to the Egyptian civilization in mummification,.
Local sources reported that citizens in ‘Al-Siyyani’ district in Ibb found a mummy and rushed to inform the Antiquities Authority’s office, which sent a team to the site.
Initial information shows that the mummy dates back to the Himyarian era, about more than 2,500 years.
The sources added that an archaeological team would start studies on the discovered mummy, which is believed to be of a Himyari king.
