Sanaa forces tighten stifling siege on Marib city

MARIB, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni arm forces backed by the popular committees managed on Friday to achieve military victories during the confrontations with Saudi-led coalition forces on the fronts between Marib and Jawf provinces, military sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources confirmed that this military achievement achieved by the army forces places the coalition forces inside the city of Marib under a suffocating siege.

The army and committees were able to control ‘Al-Alaman desert’ during the confrontations that took place in the desert area between east of Khab Washa’f district of Jawf and north of Marib city, the sources explained.

Residents of Marib city saw vehicles belonging to the coalition forces fleeing at a crazy speed from the desert areas towards the government compound, the sources added.
