Marib receives 20 soldiers defect from Saudi-led coalition side

MARIB, Jan. 16 (YPA)- Marib’s local officials on Friday received 20 soldiers most of them from Al Abdiyah district defected from the Saudi-led coalition side and returned to home.

During the reception, deputy of Marib province Mohammed Mohsen Alwan welcomed the returnees.

He stressed the importance of communicating with the remaining deceived soldiers in the coalition ranks in order facilitate their return.

Alwan pointed out that the provincial leadership will work in cooperation with the security services to ensure the return to their areas and their families.

For their part, the returnees called on the rest of the deceived troops to take advantage of the amnesty, return peacefully to the national ranks.

They praised the role of the army and popular committees, and the local authority for securing their arrival.
