SANAA, Jun. 11 (YPA) – The Civil Aviation Affairs at the Bahraini Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced that Qatari aircraft will continue to be allowed to cross its airspace.
The “Bahrain” News Agency indicated that the Bahraini Civil Aviation Authority has modified the navigational bulletins for Qatari aircraft as of Monday morning, January 11, 2021, at exactly 00:01 GMT.
Last week, Saudi Arabia hosted the forty-first Gulf Summit, which saw the resolution of the political conflict that prompted Riyadh, the Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt to boycott Qatar more than three years ago.
As a result of this reconciliation, the UAE General Authority of Civil Aviation announced the reopening of airspace and the resumption of air traffic with Qatar, as of Saturday, January 9.
Saudi Arabia also reopened the land, sea and air ports with Qatar, and Riyadh closed them in June 2017, after Riyadh, the Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt imposed a boycott on Doha.
