Abdulsalam attacks UN envoy for Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 9 (YPA) – Official spokesman for Ansarullah and head of head of the negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdeslam launched a verbal attack against the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, over his visit to Riyadh and Aden.

“The UN envoy is preoccupied with the formalities and empty visits to cover up the continuation of the aggression and siege. He also ignores the catastrophic human suffering in Yemen, which is the result of the blockade and the closure of ports and airports,” Abdulsalam said in a tweet.

Political sources said Griffiths had not achieved any results from his recent visit to Riyadh or Aden, and that the visit was limited to moral support for the new Islah and the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia government.
