SHABWA, Jan. 6 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah militants in Shabwa province, east of Yemen, released on Wednesday a number of bandits and criminal gangs from the province’s prisons to fight in their ranks.
According to sources, the gangs were arrested by the UAE-funded Shabwani Elite forces in Al-Abr area 3 years ago.
The sources indicated that the Ministry of Interior of the exiled Hadi government released the gangs under pressures by a leadership of the third military region loyal to the Islah Party in Marib.
