Hamas comments on progress of Gulf reconciliation efforts

GAZA, Jan. 5 (YPA) – The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Monday evening congratulated the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries on advancing reconciliation efforts, which resulted in the opening of the border between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Hamas said in a press release that it hopes that the Gulf crisis will end completely, and restore unity and solidarity that is conducive to the unity of the hoped-for Arab position.

The movement called for the launch of the broadest regional dialogue to end the various factors and elements of disagreement between all Arab and Muslim countries in the region.

The movement also reiterated that it hopes that 2021 will be the year of Palestinian national unity, the unity of the nation’s components and its main states, at this delicate stage.
