Islah Party transfers three billion riyals from Marib Bank

MARIB, Jan. 4 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah party plundered and transferred on Monday three billion riyals the revenues of Marib bank to outside the province, according to informed sources.

The sources affirmed that province’s Bank security officer, in the leadership of the so-called “Facilities Guard” affiliated with Islah Party, resigned, in protest against the transfer of funds from the bank’s treasury, without an official permit by the “Minister of Finance of the exiled Hadi government.”

Earlier, Salem bin Braik, who is one of ministers of “Hadi government, accused of MArib governor of Marib loyal to Islah, Sultan Al-Arada, of plundering billions from the Marib bank and transferred them to Shabwa.

Meanwhile, Marib tribes vowed to establish security checkpoints at the entrances to the Marib for search of funds that the Islah militant would transfer outside the governorate, stressing that Marib sons do have priority in obtaining these funds to develop and improve essential services in the various districts.
