SANAA, Jan. 2 (YPA) – The Minister of Health, Taha Al-Mutawakel, stressed on Saturday the importance of training and qualifying hospital cadres to improve work and modernize health services.
This came during an expanded health meeting to discuss ways to develop the performance of public, central and rural hospitals.
Al-Mutawakel affirmed that this step would contribute to enhancing the hospitals’ role to improve the services provided to citizens.
The meeting reviewed the priorities of the health sector in the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state and the strategic planning mechanisms in accordance with the priorities of the ministry.
The minister also affirmed that three months would be given to hospital directors in the provinces to evaluate performance and implement the outcomes of the consultative meeting.
The meeting dealt with aspects related to drug administration, medical supply system and combating infection in hospitals.
