SANAA, Jan.01 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said on Friday that the effects of the cold air mass are still reaching large parts of the mountainous provinces, deserts and inland plateaus.
The center expected in its air bulletin that the weather will be cold and dry during the night and early morning in the mountainous heights, especially the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and Dhalea.
It stated that the weather will be relatively cold in the mountainous heights of the provinces of Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout, as well as in the desert areas.
The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, sick people and workers during the night and early morning hours to take the necessary precautions to prevent the effects of the cold.
It also warned the captains of ships, especially the small ones, to take the necessary precautions against sea turbulence on the western coasts and at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
