Water Minister calls on UNICEF to support sustainable projects

SANAA, Dec. 27 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment, Abdul Raqeeb Al-Sharmani, called on UNICEF to support the ministry’s direction to support the sustainable projects.

In an expanded meeting held on Sunday with UNICEF officials, Al-Sharmani indicated that the ministry’s plan for 2021 is to implement sustainable projects and interventions that meet the needs of citizens in securing water and sanitation services in various provinces.

He stressed keenness on the transparency approach to guarantee optimal employment of the funds allocated for water and sanitation projects, in line with the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.

Al-Sharmani affirmed that the Ministry’s plan during the coming year would include a package of strategic projects concerned primarily with covering the need for water and sanitation projects.
