Activists condemn coalition-funded “military police” practice in Taiz

TAIZ, Dec. 27 (YPA) – Activists on social media condemned on Sunday the practice of the so-called “military police” backed by Saudi-led coalition in Taiz city, southwest of Yemen.

The activists said that “the military police funded by the coalition in Taiz does not protect citizens but rather plunder their rights.”

They accused the military police leaders of working for the benefit of the influential persons and the owners of capital.

The activists confirmed that the “military police” seized a plot of land next to the local council in ‘Al-Mudhaffar’ District in the city center, despite the court’s issuance of orders to stop any conduct or action in land owned by others.

It is noteworthy that the city of Taiz is witnessing widespread looting of lands sponsored by the military leaders of the coalition, which has caused an escalation of discontent among citizens.
