Mohammed Abdulsalam holds UN responsible for any disaster in Safer tank

SANAA, Dec. 24 (YPA) – Spokesman for Ansarullah Movement Mohammed Abdulsalam on Thursday held the United Nations responsible for the occurrence of any disaster in the floating Safer tank.

This came in his comment on the United Nations request to postpone sending experts to maintain the floating Safer reservoir in Ras Issa port in Hodeidah province, western Yemen.

“The United Nations dealing with the technical maintenance of the floating Safer tank with a lot of indifference makes it really unworthy of what is more important than that,” said Abdulsalam in tweet on his account on Twitter.

He pointed out that there is an agreement signed by Sanaa, and is waiting for the UN signature to start the maintenance process. “Faced with the serious risks of keeping the reservoir in its condition, the international body bears full responsibility.”

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Economic Committee of Sanaa government revealed the United Nations’ request to postpone sending experts to maintain the reservoir until February 15 next year.
