Saudi military reinforcements arrive in Mahra

MAHRA, Dec. 23 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has sent new military reinforcements to Mahra province, eastern Yemen, to strengthen its grip on the province, local sources reported on Wednesday.

“Military reinforcements consisting of armored vehicles, a military truck, an ambulance and a number of patrol cars arrived Tuesday evening at Al-Ghaydah Airport, which is under the control of Saudi occupation forces, coming from Hadramout,” said Sheikh Hameed Zaabnoot, head of the peaceful sit-in committee in Shehin district.

In turn, local sources confirmed the arrival of 15 military vehicles, including armored vehicles, patrols, and a locomotive loaded with weapons, at Al-Ghaydah International Airport, which Riyadh uses as the headquarters of its forces.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia is seeking by all means to tighten control over Mahra province with the aim of establishing a sea port to export oil via the Arabian Sea.
