China calls on America to use dialogue instead of sanctions

SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday called on the United States to choose a “path of dialogue and consultation” with China instead of “adopting the unacceptable path of unilateral sanctions” against Chinese companies.
“We need to adopt dialogue and consultation instead of sanctions,” Wang said in a speech during a forum focusing mainly on the state of US-China relations, Reuters news agency quoted Wang as saying.
Wang urged Washington to stop “banishing the concept of national security and continuing indiscriminate repression of Chinese companies.”
It is reported that Washington had announced on Saturday that it will add dozens of Chinese companies, including the largest in the country in the semiconductor industry, to the blacklist, in a step that is the latest in the efforts of the outgoing US President Donald Trump to tighten his policy towards China.
