Frost threatens citizens, their farms in 7 provinces
SANAA, Dec. 17 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center expected on Thursday continuation of cold weather and frost may occur in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
Weather maps, surface monitoring information, and numerical forecast output pointed out that cold impact will continue on mountainous provinces and parts of deserts and inland plateaus.
The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, sick people, and workers during the night and early morning hours of severe cold shocks.
The center also called on farmers, herders and beekeepers to take the necessary precautions to protect their agricultural crops, livestock and bees from the effects of extreme cold.
