One killed, another wounded in attack on police station in Taiz

TAIZ, Dec. 9 (YPA) – Tribal gunmen on Wednesday attacked a police station under control of Islah militants in the city of Taiz, southwestern Yemen, local sources reported.

According to local sources, gunmen belonging to Tribal Sheikh Abdul Salam al-Mekhlafi fired heavily at al-Dahi police station,

The attack left one dead and another one wounded, one of the sources said.

The sources confirmed that the tribal gunmen managed to escape, although the Al-Dahi police station is located between two coalition military checkpoints.

According to the sources, the distance between the center and the two points does not exceed 100 meters, on each side of the ” police”, and the other belongs to the so-called “military police” pro-Islah militants.
