5 fishermen disappear off Mocha coast

TAIZ, Dec. 5 (YPA) – At least five Yemeni fishermen went missing on Friday while on a fishing trip off the coast of the port city of Mocha, west of Taiz province.

Fishermen said that the five fishermen had disappeared into the sea and had not returned.

Search operation is under way, one of the fishermen added.

They Yemeni fishermen accused the UAE-backed Joint Forces of disregarding the incident despite appeals for help.

“The state of the sea, the raging and the strong winds that the region is experiencing these days make fishing dangerous these days,” they said.
