Tribal clashes continued in Bayhan of Shabwah

SHABWAH, Dec. 2 (YPA) – Armed clashes continued for the third day in a row between two tribes in Bayhan district of Shabwah province.

According to local sources, armed clashes broke out last Sunday between the Al Shajara and Al Grama tribes in Bayhan, in which the two sides used various types of light and medium weapons.

The sources indicated that the clashes left several injured from both sides, including a child .

For their part, eyewitnesses in Bayhan confirmed that Hadi’s so-called special security forces were close and refrained from intervening to break up the clashes between the two tribes three days ago.

In early May, Bayhan district witnessed armed clashes between the Talan and Dahshal tribes over a dispute over a waterway, which resulted in the deaths of six tribesmen.
