US ambassador arrives to Mahrah in suspicious visit

MAHRAH, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Media sources reported that that the US ambassador to the “Hadi government” Christopher Henzel arrived On Sunday, in the province of Mahrah in eastern Yemen.

The sources added that the US ambassador met during his surprise visit with the governor of the province appointed by the coalition “Mohammed Ali Yasser”, without giving details of the meeting.

Observers suggested that the time of the visit was not spontaneous because it coincided with the eve of the Independence Day.

They stressed that the escalation of tension between the tribes of Mahrah and the Saudi occupation forces is a strong reason behind the American visit and aims to stabilize the military presence of Saudi Arabia in the province.
