Fierce infighting resumes in Abyan province

ABYAN, Nov. 19 (YPA) – Fierce fighting has broken out between UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias and forces loyal to Hadi’s government in southern Yemen’s Abyan province, local sources reported on Thursday.

According to the sources, the fighting resumed between the two sides east of Zinjibar city, the capital of the province.

They have exchanged artillery shelling alone the frontlines of the same district, one the sources said.

the sources added that the clashes were heard in the cities near the fronts of Sheikh Salem and Al-Taryah east of Zinjibar.
