ABYAN, Nov. 17 (YPA) – Fierce clashes renewed on Tuesday between the Saudi-led coalition factions in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, according to sources.
The sources affirmed that the clashes broke out between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias and Islah militants backed by ISIS and al-Qaeda elements.
The so-called spokesman for the STC in Abyan Front Axis, Mohammad al-Naqib, said that the confrontations renewed on Tuesday evening, after the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s government forces with the Islah militia violated the ceasefire.
