Tribal sheikh survives assassination attempt in Mocha

TAIZ, Nov. 17 (YPA) – A tribal sheikh survived on Tuesday an assassination attempt in al-Mocha district of Taiz province, sources said.

The sources affirmed that a commander of the so-called “Central Security” Brigades, who was appointed by the UAE-backed Tariq Afash,” Awas Ahmed Naji, chased and opened fire at a car of Hassan Abdel Wahab Amer, one of the tribe sheikhs of Tihama.

Two of the sheikh’s companions were injured during the attack.

The Saudi-led coalition-held areas have seen a security anarchy and continuous assassination between the coalition’s factions.
