SANAA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – The head of the Iraqi victory coalition Haider al-Abadi met with the head of the Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, to discuss the challenges that Iraq faces to hold the next elections.
The media office of the victory coalition stated in a statement that the head of the victory coalition Haider al-Abadi met with the head of the Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim.
He added, the importance of providing all appropriate conditions for holding early, fair and transparent elections under the supervision of the United Nations was also emphasized, to achieve the aspirations of our people as one of the main demands demanded by the demonstrators.
He pointed out that the meeting discussed the economic and financial conditions and challenges that the country is witnessing and the need for solutions to be strategic and planned and advance the financial reality.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi renewed the government’s commitment to the election date scheduled for June 6, 2021.
The Prime Minister pointed out to issue a directive to all ministries and state institutions to remove obstacles and bureaucratic procedures before the Election Commission, calling on citizens to update the voter registry and broad participation in the elections.
