Iran travel ban between cities in country due to Corona

SANAA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – The Iranian government announced on Monday traveling ban between cities and the imposition of wide disruption measures, starting next Saturday, to limit the new Corona virus infections.
The Iranian government spokesman, Ali Rabiei, said that “during today’s meeting on the subject of combating Corona, it was decided to impose wide disruption measures in cities, and even tighten exit from cities and prohibit movement from one city to another,” according to the Iranian news agency “IRNA”.
Rabiei stressed “the need for the cooperation of the various agencies to implement decisions in order to achieve success in confronting Corona.”
He pointed out that “the President of the Republic confirmed that all agencies and ministries are charged with the accurate implementation of decisions, and that all parts of the government and the pillars of the state cooperate to control, manage and reduce the outbreak of the Coronavirus.”
He explained that “the massive disruption plan excludes producers and suppliers of necessary and essential goods and products.”
An Iranian government spokesman revealed, “The issue of increasing the number of tests to detect corona injuries to more than 100,000 swabs has been raised.”
He pointed out that the massive disruption plan includes 100 cities across the country, and that the experiences of other countries have been benefited from in this plan, stressing that “citizens’ services should not be disrupted.”
On Sunday, a spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Larry, said that “12,543 new cases of Corona virus have been registered, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus in the country to 762,568 people, of whom 5666 are in critical condition.”
