SHABWAH, Nov. 14 (YPA) – A number of Emirati invaders and mercenaries, including leaders, were injured in a car bomb explosion targeting a group of Emirati armoured vehicles in the occupied province of Shabwah on Saturday morning.
Media sources said that roadside bomb exploded and targeted the UAE military convoy as it was passing in Mayfa’a district, leaving casualties among the invaders and mercenaries, including leaders.
The province of Shabwah, like the rest of the occupied governorates, is witnessing insecurity, chaos and lack of services as a result of the conflict between the mercenaries.
The conflict in the province is affecting Yemen’s largest gas export facility, particularly as the Islah militia seeks to gain an important economic resource, making up for its inevitable loss in Marib province.
In the past few days, Shabwah has turned into an open battleground between the militias of the Islah Party, and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias against the backdrop of a conflict of control over the port and oil fields in the province, after the UAE turned the Balhaf facility into a military base.
