Coalition militants killed in infighting in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 13 (YPA) – About 13 militants were killed and injured when infighting erupted on Friday in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan between the Saudi-led coalition factions, according to sources.

The sources said that 8 UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia and 6 Islah Party militants reinforced by Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government forces were killed in the fierce clashes broke out between the two sides in al-Torah front in Zinjibar district.

Heavy and medium arms were used in the battles that erupted between the two parties.

These confrontations are the most violent for months, in light of the stumbling of the Riyadh-run Agreement signed between the two parties to share the power.
