Saudi officers killed in clashes in Jizan

JIZAN, Nov. 12 (YPA) – Dozens of fighters recruited by the Saudi-led coalition, including Saudi officers, were killed and wounded on Thursday in forces clashes in Jizan border province, south of Saudi Arabia, according to informed sources.

The sources revealed that the clashes took place in al-Khuba area between the mercenary recruits in the First Brigade, Maghawir, and the Saudi forces on the background of the recruits’ demands to payment of salaries.

The Saudi forces pushed military reinforcements to the area to support their forces, while the recruits appealed to the “the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government” to intervene quickly to protect them after being threatened to bomb by the Saudi army.

According to the sources, the tension and the clash escalated two days after a deadline for payment of the recruits’ salaries that suspended for nearly a year.
