Saudi official admits his country’s inability to pay Sudanese soldiers

SANAA, May 21 (YPA) – Commander of the Joint Saudi forces Lt. Gen. Fahd bin Turki bin Abdul Aziz admitted that his country did not fulfill its promises and commitments entered into with the Sudanese forces involved with them in the war against Yemen.

“Sudanese soldiers are still fighting without salaries, while families of those killed in Yemen have not received any financial compensation from the coalition countries,” the Saudi commander said, during his meeting with a Sudanese media delegation in Jeddah on Saturday evening.

The statement of the Saudi commander is the first acknowledgment by Saudi side of enslaving Sudanese soldiers and taking them to a real hell in Yemen.

Calls have raised in Sudan’s parliament demanding withdrawal of Sudanese troops from Yemen, coinciding with an announcement by Defense Ministry in recent days that they assess pros and cons of their forces’ participation in the ongoing war in Yemen.
