SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that Washington decided to provide the UAE with advanced defense capabilities, noting that “the authorities agreed to sell the UAE (F-35) warplanes.”
According to “Reuters,” Pompeo said on Tuesday evening that “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to authorize the UAE to purchase advanced defense equipment worth 23.37 billion dollars.”
Pompeo said, “The approval includes up to 50 (F-35) Lightning 2 aircraft, up to 18 MQ-9B drones, and a range of air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions.”
