Italy records more than 30,000 infections of Covid-19

SANAA, Nov. 5 (YPA) – The Italian Ministry of Health has reported 30,550 new infection cases and 352 new deaths due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) –

In a new statistic, the ministry reported a 30,550 increase in the number of cases recorded in Italy in the past 24 hours, reaching 790,337.

This figure indicates a rise in the index of daily Covid-19 infections in Italy, which reached 22,253 on November 2, 2014, and November 3, 28244.

The ministry added that it had detected 352 new deaths from the disease, bringing the number of victims of the pandemic in the country to 39,764.

This comes after Italy recorded 233 deaths from the pandemic on November 2nd, and on November 3, 353, the highest daily rise since May 6th.

For weeks, Italy has been facing unprecedented increases in daily cases of Covid-19, although the mortality index is still far from peak levels, when it exceeded the 900 level.
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has confirmed new restrictions while allowing mayors to impose a night curfew in their areas, with theatres, cinemas, sports and markets closed and restaurant opening hours reduced.
