Twitter blocks account of Iranian ambassador in Yemen
SANAA, Nov. 1 (YPA) – The Iranian ambassador in Yemen, Hassan Erlo, on Sunday said that his account on “Twitter” had been closed.
Erlo told Al-Alam TV channel that pressure from the Saudi lobby was behind the blocking of his Twitter account.
Twitter company’s decision came after the Iranian ambassador’s participation in the major central celebration, which was held last Thursday afternoon, on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday in Sanaa.
This event is the first that the Iranian ambassador attends after submitting his credentials to Sanaa.
It is noteworthy that the account was blocked after the ambassador published a denunciation of the assassination of the Yemeni Minister of Sports and Youth, Hassan Zaid.
