Army attacks, takes over strategic sites

MARIB, Oct. 25 (YPA) – The Yemeni army attacked on Sunday the Saudi-led coalition forces and took over strategic sites in Marib province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official affirmed the army fought fierce battles against the coalition forces during the past hours, taking control over sites in Jabal Murad district, south of the city of Marib.

The army forces penetrated towards Al-Jinnah area in the same province, where fierce battles being broke out between the Yemeni army forces and the coalition forces backed by the Islah militia and elements of “Al Qaeda and ISIS.

Meanwhile, dozens of the coalition forces were killed and wounded, including officers, when the army foiled their attack towards sites in al-Joub aad Rahba districts of the province.

Earlier, the spokesman of the army Brigadier General Yahya Sarei said in a statement that two drones, Qasef 2k, attacked the King Khalid airbase in Khamis Mushait located in the south-west of Saudi Arabia.
