The Impacts of Typhoon Storm “Sagar” will gradually weakened over coming hours

SANAA, May 19 (YPA) – “The impact of the Cyclone Storm (Sagar) on our country will gradually weaken in the coming hours,” the National Meteorological Center said.

The center stated that the center of the storm is currently 220 kilometers southwest of Aden City.

The center also pointed out that the movement of the storm will continue towards the west and southwest of the Gulf of Aden at a speed of eight kilometers/hour accompanied by rain and storms a thunderstorm of varying intensity, destined for the north-western coasts of Somalia, gradually weakening its impact on our country.

The center of the storm on the Gulf of Aden was identified at the latitude of 10.7 north and 44.1 longitude East at 9 a.m. local time, the center said in warning bulletin published on Saturday morning.

It predicted moderate to heavy rainfall on parts of the south-west coast and inland areas, stretching to parts of the south-western mountainous heights, the winds will be very high, with a speed of 41 51 knots (75, 95 km/hour)

The methodical center renewed its warning to the citizens in Hajha, Taiz and Hodeida provinces of the flood of reefs, valleys and mudslides, calling for no sailing on the south-west Coast and Bab al-Mandeb areas.
