Commercial ship sank in Gulf waters

SANAA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – The governor of the city of Tangestan in Bushehr province, southern Iran, said, on Friday, that a commercial ship that set off from the city’s port heading to Dubai city sank in the Gulf waters.

The governor, Abdolhossein Rafiipour, added that the ship, which was carrying commercial goods, and five sailors, was exposed to a fire in the Gulf waters, on its way to Dubai city.

He added that one of its crew was killed and other four were rescued.

Rafiipour indicated that the maritime authorities opened an investigation to find out the causes of the accident.
