UNICEF: Tens of thousands of Yemeni children have died since the conflict began

SANAA, Oct. 9 (YPA) – Tens of thousands of Yemeni children have died as a result of conflict, disease and malnutrition since the war in Yemen began in 2016, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

“Tens of thousands of children in Yemen have died directly as a result of the fighting, or indirectly, with diseases or malnutrition,” UNICEF said in its repo

According to the report, there are 12.3 million children in Yemen in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.

It also indicated that there are 1.7 million displaced children who have fled their homes as a result of the ongoing conflict.
