Deputy PM stresses important role of Transport Ministry in promoting national economy

SANAA, Oct. 6 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for National Vision Affairs and Head of the Executive Office for the National Vision Management, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, stressed on Tuesday the important role of the Transport Ministry in promoting the national economy.

This came during his chairing a meeting with Minister of Transport Zakaria Al-Shami and heads of the bodies and institutions belonging to the ministry.

Al-Junaid indicated to the importance of strengthening coordination to analyze the current situation of the transport sector and work on developing strategic plans for the second phase of the National Vision (2021-2025).

“Our confrontation with aggression, and our steadfastness and victory on the fronts makes us overcome any difficulties we face in the course of construction and development,” he said.

The Executive Office has a flexible mechanism in implementing projects, he added.

For his part, the Transport Minister confirmed the keenness of the Ministry and its sectors to promote the services provided in the various transportation fields.

Al-Shami said that the development of Sanaa International Airport and Hodeidah Port are among the national and international strategic projects.
