20 members of “Shabwani Elite” kidnapped near Balhaf port

SHABWA, Oct. 6 (YPA) – Islah Party’s militants kidnapped on Monday 20 members of the so-called “Shabwani Elite” militia affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in ‘Radhom’ area in Shabwa province, a local source reported on Tuesday.

On Monday, Al-Islah militants prevented a heavy-equipped military force from entering the natural gas export facility at ‘Balhaf’ port, and imposed a suffocating siege on the facility.

The UAE-backed militia carried out a wide spread along the walls of the Balhaf facility, in preparation for any military attack by Islah militants.
