Trump and Biden in first debate: verbal clash and mutual accusations of stupidity and lying

SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – The first debate between US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Joe Biden began in the early hours of Wednesday morning (on Tuesday US time).

The first 90-minute debate discussed six topics, each with 15 minutes: “Political records of Trump, Biden, the Supreme Court, coronavirus, the economy, urban violence, and election integrity.”

From the first moment of the debate, the debate began over the nomination of a female judge to the vacancy on the US Supreme Court began, with Biden arguing that he must wait until the US election is over, while Trump sees it as an inherent right.

Regarding President Obama’s health system, Trump said, “Obamacare wasn’t a good one and we fixed it,”

Biden responded, “Trump has no plan to support the people in the medical field. He’s lying… Everyone knows he’s a liar.”

As for the issue of the fight against Coronavirus( COVID-19)  in the United States, Biden strongly attacked President Trump, describing him as not caring about the citizens, and telling the people heretics not the facts based on correct medical information.

Biden cited Trump’s earlier statement that citizens should inject themselves with detergent, to which Trump replied that it was a joke.

Trump didn’t let Biden attack him without being able to tell the former vice president, “You have nothing to do with intelligence,” Biden replies, “Don’t shut up, man.”

On the US economy, Trump said, “We built the greatest economy in history and closed it down as a result of the China pandemic, to which Biden replied, “The President does not intend to improve the economy.”

The debate referred to press reports accusing President Trump of paying only $750 in income taxes in 10 years, and Trump replied that he “paid millions during that period, and that he would not reveal anything until the investigation was completed.”

Biden, in turn, doubled the attack on Trump, calling him the worst president in US history and that the wealthy don’t pay taxes with a $750 pay-per-,” Biiden said. He took advantage of the tax code to his advantage and I will repeal the tax deductions law.”

Trump tried to increase the attack on Biden, saying that “Biden’s son got 3 million from Moscow,” to the former vice president’s response in the negative and to call Trump a “clown.”

“What matters is not about my family or the family of Trump but about focusing on what matters to the American people,” Biden said.

On the issue of race and past violence in the United States, particularly in the case of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, Biden accused the President of deepening the division among Americans, and that he (Biden) ran for president in order to end the division in the country.

Biden added that Trump used tear gas against protesters in front of the White House, just to take pictures in front of the church.

“Ethnic protests were not peaceful,” Trump replied. The Democratic-run states have seen violence,” he said, accusing Biden of being a puppet of the “radical left.”

Biden attacked Trump, saying, “The president has made Americans poorer, weaker and more divided,” to which Trump replied, “No president has achieved what I have achieved in three and a half years.”
