House approves report of Development, Oil, Mineral Resources Committee

SANAA, Sep. 22 (YPA) – The Parliament approved, in Tuesday’s session headed by the House’s Speaker Yahya al-Ra’i, the report of the Development, Oil and Mineral Resources Committee on the results of its filed visits to the land customs outlets in which a number of locomotives loaded with oil derivatives are held.

This came after the commitment of Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Abdullah Daress, to implement the recommendations of the House in this regard.

During the session, the Minister of Oil and Minerals stated that Saudi-led aggression coalition countries are still holding more than 20 ships loaded with f oil derivatives at sea for more than 135 days.

Daress pointed out that the Ministry of Oil and Minerals had implemented the previous recommendations of the House regarding the distribution of oil derivatives to the stations on a timely basis, but the quantity that arrived was not sufficient to cover the market needs.

He said that, within five months, only three ships loaded with gas, gasoline and mazut were allowed to enter into the port of Hodeidah, noting that the local market need more than ten million liters per day to provides the oil derivatives in all stations.
