Islah militia impose siege against STC in Lahj

LAHJ, Sep. 21 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah militants carried out an operation on Monday to impose a siege against the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in Yemen’s southern province of Lahj, according to sources.

The sources affirmed the Islah Party militants completed the encirclement of all northern areas of the province, amid a large military deployment.

The source added that Islah had created military sites and points stationed near the STC positions at the southern borders of Taiz province.

The Islah militants have tried to camouflage the recent deployment under the name of “Special Forces” and “Military Police” in those areas.
