Bin Zayed intends to transfer US base from Turkey to UAE

ABU DHABI, Sep. 20 (YPA) – The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed is holding talks with the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) to transfer the US Incirlik Air Base from Turkey to the UAE, informed sources said on Sunday.

The sources pointed out that “bin Zayed” talks aimed at strengthening the UAE’s relations with the “American deep state”, which he sees as the way for Abu Dhabi to place its strategic interests above all other considerations, including his personal relationship with US President Donald Trump, according to what was reported by the “Tactical Report” website concerned with intelligence affairs.

The Emirati developments regarding the signing of the normalization agreement with Israel, as well as Abu Dhabi’s movements in Libya and the eastern Mediterranean came in this context, the sources added.

Meanwhile, the UAE is planning strategic economic and military projects in cooperation with the Pentagon and major American economic and financial institutions on the southern coast of Yemen and on several Yemeni islands, including Socotra.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly threatened to end the American military presence at the “Incirlik” base, which reports indicate that it contains American nuclear warheads.
