MARIB, Sep. 15 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition forces’ camps in al-Jouba district, south of Marib province, on Tuesday witnessed widespread looting of weapons, local sources reported.
“Islah Party militia withdrew weapons from the stores of the coalition forces in al-Jouba front, in preparation for fleeing them,” the sources said.
The sources indicated that the tribesmen looted the weapons stores, after the coalition forces withdrew from many of their camps in al-Jouba.
Residents of al-Jouba district saw military convoys leaving the district towards the Hadramout province, before many tribes loyal to the coalition and the Islah militia looted the remaining weapons in those stores, the sources added.
The move came after the army forces and popular committees approached the coalition camps after achieving significant progress towards the center of al-Jouba district, south of Marib.
